Planning a fashion showroom in Paris
A showroom should make it easy to view a collection, meet and work comfortably. Before booking a space, define the appointments expected, pieces on display and daily organisation.
Choosing an area around your appointments
Choose the neighbourhood around your audience’s movements, accessibility and appointment schedule. Compare travel times between your showroom and other venues your guests visit. A familiar address is not enough: a clearly marked entrance, practical access and a coherent schedule can matter more. Check collection delivery conditions too. The right area depends on your project and actual availability.
Checking the venue before booking
List the rails, display cases, tables, seating and fitting spaces required. Review natural light, lighting options, storage and privacy for meetings. Visit service areas as well as the main room. Confirm access hours, setup conditions and included equipment with the venue. Your booking should cover collection preparation and departure, not only guest opening hours.
Designing the collection journey
Arrange pieces by line or story to support presentations. Leave enough space to move around and examine details. Separate reception, collection discovery and appointments when the floor area allows. Prepare collection materials and information for your visitors. If fittings are planned, provide a suitable area and arrange piece tracking.
Scheduling a Fashion Week opening
Build a schedule around collection arrival, setup and appointments. Avoid filling every slot without time to reset. Designate someone to confirm visits and update availability. Share a practical information sheet with the address, access details and a contact. The timetable should suit your guests’ pace and the hours agreed with the venue.
Following up collections and conversations
Keep an inventory of displayed pieces. For loans, record items, contacts, dates and agreed return terms. For each appointment, note requests and the person responsible for follow-up. Plan packing and transport after closing. For a Cannes showroom, discover COUTURE CANNES FESTIVAL at Hôtel Majestic and its services for brands.
